Skyler tours Bjorn’s in San Antonio—50 years in custom AV—and the new 151″ Just Video Walls MicroLED at the heart of their showroom.

I’m so excited every time I get to walk into a dealer showroom that shaped how people fall in love with this industry. For me, that place is Bjorn’s in San Antonio, Texas—the store where I got my first real home theater experience years ago. On this visit, Neil walked me through a building they’ve called home since 2000, a company now celebrating 50 years in AV, and a brand-new 151″ Just Video Walls MicroLED that now anchors how they talk about large-format living rooms.
Bjorn’s opened this Highway 281 location a little over 26 years ago; it’s their fourth storefront, and the team still treats the floor like a working home. Neil has been there nearly 30 years. What I appreciated immediately is how little of the tour felt like a product dump. They slow the conversation down: how will you cook during the Super Bowl, where does the family actually sit, what happens when there’s daylight in the room?
Their motto kept coming back in different words: there’s a better way. Not a louder way. Not a more complicated way. A better way to watch, listen, and live with the gear.

Walk in and you still feel Bjorn’s roots in projection—a high-lumen Epson in a controlled entry media space that looks fantastic when the lights behave. Neil was honest about the limit: natural light and “I want it big” living rooms are where projection fights you. Clients are already comparing 100″ and 98″ flat panels; once the conversation hits 130″ or 150″, you’re not picking a TV size anymore. You’re designing an experience.
That’s the lane for the 151″ Just Video Walls MicroLED. Same emotional job as a great theater—movies, games, sports—without forcing the family into a cave every afternoon. Neil put it plainly: they want the look of a dark room in a room that isn’t dark.

Before we got to the wall, Neil showed how Bjorn’s presents technology the way people actually live. Matte frame-style displays that read as art instead of a black box. Invisible speakers and an amplifier buried in the wall for clients who want music without the hardware shouting. Classic Klipsch heritage speakers for the ones who want the boxes on display. McIntosh tube glow in another bay because sometimes the ritual is the point.
They also run honest side-by-side rooms—LG, Sony, Samsung—same source, same size conversation—so clients can see how each panel paints a wall. That consultative habit is what makes the MicroLED conversation land. It’s not “spec sheet versus spec sheet.” It’s “which experience fits how you live?”
The Just Video Walls display sits flush in a wood-slat feature wall—exactly the kind of architectural detail that makes a video wall feel intentional. Neil highlighted the ultrawide shape for movies and sports, then walked through multiview the way their clients actually ask for it: game on the big pane, weather or a news feed beside it, security cameras in a corner instead of hijacking the whole screen. When your “side screen” is effectively 55″ of real estate, those cameras suddenly matter.

What I loved watching on camera—and in person—is how little the bright showroom reflects back into dark content. Neil switched into black-and-white art and the room stayed out of the picture. That’s the matte, residential-first approach we obsess over: LED isn’t new, but living-room LED has to disappear into the architecture when the content goes quiet.
Bjorn’s also had our install crew on site for this one—partnership, not just freight. Neil talked about attention to cabinet edges, seams, and the difference between “an LED wall that exists” and one that vanishes into the finish work. If you’ve only ever hung a flat panel with a cord peeking out, this is a different craft.
Bjorn’s primarily serves San Antonio and south Texas, with clients as far north as Austin and roughly 150 miles east and west. They employ about 18 in-house installers—no revolving subcontractor circus. Stop by 14123 Highway 281 North, San Antonio, or start at bjorns.com.
